Outcomes
Students are able to:

• Document processes for the design of a mechatronics product that satisfies a set of design requirements;
• Integrate mechanical, electrical and software requirements into a product ;
• Develop quantitative testing and evaluation strategies in the construction and operation of a mechatronic product;
• Build a safe mechatronics product ;
• Use industry-standard engineering documentation and processes ; and
• Work effectively as an individual and in a team

Content
This is the design unit for the BE-AR degree (Automation and Robotics Engineering). Students will work in groups of four to design, build and test a solution for that year's Warman Competition

Contact Hours

• Weekly practical session
• Weekly workshop sessions (attendance is compulsory)
• Each student group will also meet at their own time.
